journal2 product controller problem

opencart 2.3.0.2 in journal2 theme i want to display each size option stock quantity on product page so i pass a variable through controller product.php and print on view product.tpl that not any response and not print, also checked delete all data from controller product.php file and checked product page there no any change that display like as previous... can anybody help how to resolve this problem
