every extension i try on all my test sites ALWAYS chug away uploading then stop halfway through with message copying files
.... but seemingly doing nothing and just stop .... see image attached
i always have to take the content of upload and ftp them to root.... its a pain

how do i fix this please..

Looks like an FTP permissions issue. Try this free quick fix, which may address the problem since it will let the installer work without FTP info:

If that doesn't work, look into your server permissions and make sure you have full read/write access.

add files dpont work in edge but does in firefox

Not sure. You may want to test a new host temporarily, and see if it's just related to the server you're on. It could be misconfigured, especially if you're using permission-related issues.

If that doesn't work, you might have to hire someone to resolve this issue for you, if you really want to use the extension installer. If you need to find a developer, you should post a request in the OpenCart "Commercial Support" forum, which is checked by a number of OpenCart developers. You can also try checking out the OpenCart "Partners" area.

Use the developers tool kit from the browser in either edge or IE and see in the console tab if there are errors appearing. Looks like a browser-compatibility tweak that may be required due to an installed extension.
