OC Version: 2.1.0.1
Theme: RGen
Extension/Mods:
Add Manufacturer Logo on Product Page
Export/Import Tool (V3.1) for OpenCart 2.x
GDPR - Personal Data Reports Willows Consulting Ltd.
Local copy OCMOD by iSenseLabs iSenseLabs 1.3
Manufacturer Layout Sharley's Web Development 2.1
Manufacturer Logo

Your query:
We've been trying to remove the AddThis social media sharing feature from the product pages.
We removed the code as advised in the forums from template/product/product.tpl and tried a vqmod, refreshing all the caches every time, but it stubbornly remains on the product pages.

Thanks for sharing Oc version, mods and so on, that is helpful.

Did you check VQMod logs to see if the changes are being applied?

Well, your product Page does no longer contain Add This. But the correct
URL would be this below, in order to also display the FontAwsome Pics:

I seem to be having the same issue.
www.redraglyn.com OpenCart Ver 3.0.2.0
I have removed the code from both the theme's product.twig and the default one only to see it still show live.
I have refreshed/cleared the cache in the site using the cog in the dashboard as well as clearing the cache in my browser.
I have opened the site in other browsers only to see AddThis still there.
I've spent several frustrating hours trying to get rid of it.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or is it just an odd cache issue?

Thankyou
Brontè :-)

I have removed the code from both the theme's product.twig ...
Well, unfortunately, this is NOT the case, or then, it would no longer exist. :choke:

I understand that this needs to be removed and I can assure you I have done it.
From here: /public_html/catalog/view/theme/OPCADD016/template/product/product.twig
I moved the file via ftp to my desktop, opened the file in notepad, removed that code, saved it and uploaded it again, making sure I chose to overwrite it.
I then downloaded it again and checked to make sure it was not there and it was not.
BUT it still shows live that it is there - very frustrating.
