So been reading various forum posts about upgrading to OC3, we are on Version 2.3.0.2
According to the http://docs.opencart.com/upgrading/ it shows for version 1.5.x
Does this include version past 1.5.x? I saw this post - viewtopic.php?t=186712 but there are a bunch more steps in this one, was wondering if the official docs have been updated (as this post was made back in Aug 2017)
Wondering if anyone has upgraded recently and if they've encountered any issues.
From OC x to OC-xx, no UPGRADE Pack ever existed, it's exactly as in older
Versions, every single OC Subversion yet has been a FULL Installation Pack,
and should be installed into a CLEAN Directory, and anything else
is just wasted time, since there is nothing in an older Version OC,
wich can further be used, not even the DB will match OC-3.0.x Default.
Good Luck, believe it or not, it's not my problem ...

Well i'd like to learn how to do for future versions as well. If we have someone else do it, and a new release comes out that we want to upgrade to, we'd have to contact support each time. This doesn't make sense, it shouldn't require premium support to do an upgradepaulfeakins wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 6:37 pmWhat about getting a developer from Commercial Support to do this for you?
Question, if it's a fresh install, wouldn't there be no extensions? As mentioned above want to avoid the commercial support as i'd like to learn how to do this for future version upgrades.straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 6:39 pmEnsure to make a full backup of your store, including database, before attempting any upgrades over your fresh folder installation. Also ensure to uninstall all extensions without exceptions before upgrading your Opencart database. If you are not sure how to do it, you can always submit a new request to the Commercial Support section of the forum to get this task done as a custom job.
There are still core extension installed with a fresh copy of Opencart but only the basics.Question, if it's a fresh install, wouldn't there be no extensions? As mentioned above want to avoid the commercial support as i'd like to learn how to do this for future version upgrades.
