Hi all
I have e-commerce website by using Magento platform, but now I changed my online store from Magento to Opencart.
So I have only 200 Products on my website, this is current server specification.

Code: Select all

DS.2690v3.Bundle: Dedicated Server - Dual Intel Xeon CPU - US Central Zone
Server Chassis: Standard - Single PSU - No Hot Swap Bays
Remote Backup: No Remote Backup Needed
Public IP Addresses: Public IP Addresses
Public IP Addresses: 1 Public IP Address
DDOS Attack Protection: Advanced DDoS Attack Protection (up to 10gbps)
Control Panel Choice: cPanel/ Web Host Manager - Fully Managed
ServerSecure: Server Secure
Application Auto Installer: Softaculous
Additional Storage: No Additional Storage Array
Processor: Intel Dual Xeon E5-2690 v3 12 Cores
Primary Storage: 4 x SSD Hardware RAID 10
SSD Drive Size: 500GB Crucial SSD
Memory: 192GB DDR4 SDRAM
Bandwidth: 20 TB Outbound Bandwidth
Port Speed: Gigabit Uplink Port
Backup Drive: SATA Backup Drive
Backup Disk Options: 1 TB SATA (7,200 rpm)
Operating System Choice: Linux OS
Web Server: Apache
Linux OS: CentOs 7 - 64Bit
Now, we made a big campaign on snapchat and TV before 3 months ago. and we received a lot of traffic to our website.
So how many orders can opencart handle per/minute? because sometimes I receive more than 200K visitors per/minute all at once hit our website which means 3 or 4 million visitors per/day.
Can the site receive 30,000 orders per/day??

What should I do with huge traffic? I want your opinions and experiences.

I do not want to lose money because of problems in not receiving orders.

Regards;

If we make the calculations from what's been provided from your list on the above could be problematic for this kind of bandwidth magnitude level:
Public IP Addresses: 1 Public IP Address
Additional Storage: No Additional Storage Array
SSD Drive Size: 500GB Crucial SSD
Memory: 192GB DDR4 SDRAM
Bandwidth: 20 TB Outbound Bandwidth
Backup Disk Options: 1 TB SATA (7,200 rpm)
Public IP addresses: Better to separate the traffic with regions. Take an example like Facebook, their servers are separated by separate regions to manage their traffic.

Additional Storage: No Additional Storage Array: The disk space may be increased pretty fast as right now you seem to specify that one disk is the primary for your Business but only another one handles the backup at 1TB of disk space.

Memory: 192GB DDR4 SDRAM: Granted, some motherboards may take impaired types of RAM. Although, not recommended nor should it be considered when mounting a server

Bandwidth: 20 TB Outbound Bandwidth: While most webmasters may believe 20TB can be actually high, if you are mentioning millions of hits a day versus those that really buys (100000x transactions avg / day), the bandwidth can overall be exceeded in a day.

In addition, to optimize your database tables would also be highly recommended for such intensity in order for the database to handle each transactions with faster queries.

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming.

30K orders per/day ...
Well, if you expect 30K orders per Day, this Place here might not be a competent
Source of Knowledge, since you're talking about something like Amazon. But I don't
think, that a Big Shot Company Executive would come here, to ask such questions
in the first place. Those Folks sure don't rely on some free Software and a few advises
from unknown strangers, when it comes to generate such numbers of sales. ::)
But if you do, then, you sure could afford a highly qualified Team, to solve all your Problems,
it's the only way.
Good Luck

First Thank you so much for advises
In addition, to optimize your database tables would also be highly recommended for such intensity in order for the database to handle each transactions with faster queries.
is there any extension to optimize the database
Kindly check the attached file there are many kinds of "select" queries on the database.

I have started already with a small campaign to test how many orders can handle per/day but still have some errors like "too many connections" I think that I have to make optimize of MySQL I still waiting for your opinions and experiences.

Well, it's hard to guess, you should mention first, what you have installed and done
already, to get the upmost possible out of a default OC. So better place a link, of at
least some GTMETRIX Results. But make sure, that your Database is fully indexed and
eventually cached as well.
---
The famous Atomix Turbo Full DB Indexer: Should still work in some V-2 Versions:
viewtopic.php?t=172458#p653777
---
D Premium DB Indexes - boost database performance up to 50x
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=19366
---
DB Cache
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=25388
---
In addition, the Category Counting could be cached also, and the images as well as some
scripts and styles cookiefree-linked. Also, the Scripts and stylesheets need to be
compressed, and all the cached images Google-compressed, by use of the Google
Pagetester Engine.
---
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 94#p517394
---
In addition, remove all the Countries and Zones, not used in your Shop, that's a few
thousand surplus DB-Lines less too, if you only serve a small range of Countries.
This, all combined, should get you up to a ~ 94/88 (Desktop) GTMetrix.com result.

And if you want to get even better, you'll need to combine some of the scripts and
styles, those, linked cookiefree, and those linked internally. Then, you might make
it up to ~ 97/90 (Desktop) on GTMetrix.com, wich could be considered to be fine.
---
Cookieless HTTP Domain Routing
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=23506
---
BUT keep everything, linked externally, like all of that unfamous Social media Crab, out of
Front + Category Pages, it will only hinder a Page from loading efficiently. If you want to place such links
on a Footer Section or so, always make sure, that they do NOT contain any javascript Stoff
and/or externally linked images, but only use images, placed on your Site, and regular linking,
since it does not make sense, to let others know, if and how many visitors come to your place...
---
Also compress the Output Section, it will add a little to a top Test Result:
---
SourceCode Compressor
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=29699
---
compress html output
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=25615
---
And if you want it to have in a real PRO way, place by example the Images in another DB!
---
Multisite with different databases and images
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=24666
---
And last, but no least, a well-done .htaccess file also makes your OC speedy:
http://ipc.li/os/htaccess.zip

Just to give you some ideas on this. Please note, that Not all Mods might work with your Version,
as they come, but most of them can be made work, if one knows a little about...
And one should better not play around with a working online Shop, a Test Site is always much
better, to find out on such.
Good Luck! ;)
