Last item I did was to upload xml using VQMOD. Screen went blank! Tried to Log In again from login screen admin and password then screen goes blank when hit Login. Nothing but white screen.

A "White Screen of Death" almost always means a fatal PHP syntax error due to corrupted code. This may help: http://www.catskilltech.com/FreeSW/faqs/index.html#wsod . If you dig deep enough, you can usually get to an error message somewhere that explains the problem. If not, back out your last changes and carefully comb through the changed files (using a file comparison utility such as WinMerge) to find a PHP error (such as a truncated file or garbage characters inserted during an edit).
No it doesn't, for a good while now the default PHP settings have been not to display errors for security reasons.
So the WSOD is usually caused by any error at all. You can either turn on display errors as described above or looking in error_log or the system log file.
