So a client of mine recently had Godaddy (yes i know) transfer his domain over to another sever, since then, the admin multistore settings pages keep bringing up an Error 406 when i try to edit and save a setting.

Also, orders do not appear to be received, nor do they get added to the database, however the customer is still able to checkout.

Client has spoken to godaddy and they insist nothing is difference compared to old server. Wont entertain the idea of mod_security insisting everything is the same as before on the old server.

I am at a lost as to what to try next.

Client does have a multisite SSL certificate, i wondered if that may be causing the issue? but ive tried disabling it, and instead of a 406 i get an error 500.

File/Folder permissions all look fine. Can not alter mod_security using htaccess, and i have double checked hes running the correct php version.

Any other ideas??

you probably better ask your new Hoster, instead of possibly disabling
mod_security, as advised in one of the pages linked... ;)

Thanx. I've already tried your links apart from the check up down I'll try that.

But the hoster is no luck. I've tried. They are insisting everything is the same as the old server and so won't disable mod security.

Ive tried connecting via ssh and running a command to see if any security rules are being triggered but as with godaddy I'm finding it hard to even establish a connection!

I've advised the client to ask them directory to check the apache error log and disable any rules that are being triggered so that's all I can do.

I have of course advised he switch hosts but he's reluctant.
