Display all products in the left hand navigation on category/product pages

This is for an Opencart site using version 2.3.0.2. The client wants to display all products in the category in the left hand navigation on the category and product detail pages rather than just the default category and subcategory listing that is the default. There will only be 2 categories and not many products in each.

I have looked to see if there are any extensions that will do this and I couldn't find any. I would be happy to make some changes to the template files if someone is able to give me an idea of where I need to make changes. At the moment the category.tpl seems to call the left column module but I can't see where I can make changes to what is output.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Well, just use a Module, wich then presents the Products, belonging to some category,
and it can placed, whereever a Module can be displayed on Pages.

Or create a second 'featured' or whatever Module, and make all the products from one
Category featured2, and from the other category featured3, and so on, and this should
be an easy Job, and would come for free too !

Maybe I am missing something but the links to the extensions you gave don't really do what I want. I want a full list of products to appear in the left hand navigation not just the categories and sub categories.

The extensions you have linked to all seem to display products for categories but that is not what I am after. I want to change the actual navigation system on the left. I don't want to just showcase featured products I want every product to appear in the category navigation so for example when you click on the first category you will go to a page which shows all products in the category (as is the case by default) but there would also be a list of categories on the left hand column (currently the category based navigation). At the moment the navigation on the left only shows the categories and subcategories and not products.
