Hello, why Google only categorizes TOP categories?

Image

What happens to the other categories and subcategories not ticked TOP in Opencart? referenced in pages?

What will happen if I check categories not TOP in TOP?

No OC version posted. Only mention Google on the subject but no mention about which extension is being used.

Since this issue is related to an installed extension, contact the extension developer from where you originally downloaded the extension to resolve this issue.

No it is not related to this extension since we have other sites on different versions OC and which do not use these extensions and we have the same phenomenon.

In this case, please post the most recent error / access logs from your webserver regarding the activities of the UKSB sitemaps from the domain where you encounter the reported issue.

that's the problem there is no error in the logs. The phenomenon also exists with the native sitemap. I wonder if it's not related to the "Column" option in the category. Only TOP categories are listed in the index by Google.

As mentioned above, ensure to check both error / access logs. If you believe this issue might be related to theme codes, please post the exact page of the URL of the store from where this issue originates from.

As previously indicated, there are no errors in the Opencart logs or server logs.

In Goole Search Console 99 categories are sent, but only 7 (the 7 TOP categories) are taken into account by Google as categories in the Google index.

The site is: https://www.aquamagasin.com

We also have the case on other sites that use Opencart's native sitemap feed.

Would not it be related to TOP and Column settings when creating a category?

Switch back to the default theme and see if this issue can be reproduced. Also, are you using an extension from the marketplace or from a 3rd party website or from the core?
