CURL ERROR 28 Operation timed out

I have customers (more than 1) that are getting the same error. Any help appreciated on how to resolve. They said they are receiving the error when they hit "submit" in the shopping cart. I have OC 2.3.0.2 and Journal. I think I have the lastest OC??? Any patches or fixes we might have missed installing? Also have Journal installed (I know we need to update this).

error they are receiving: "CURL ERROR: 28::Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received"

This isn't OpenCart error, it's a CURL PHP extension error. Most likely one of your checkout related extension sends a query using CURL (for example, shipping quotes) and operation times out.

okay. I will contact Journal support. That's the only extension I'm using for shipping right now.
