Hi everyone,
I am running a website in three languages (the default language is German). All texts are translated so far except "MwSt. 19%" (=VAT rate) at checkout page/tab in the French and English versions.
When I open the English (or French) version of the website, I still see "MwSt. 19%" (=VAT rate 19%) in German instead of "VAT rate 19%" in English.
Is there any way I could fix this?
In addition, at Shopping Cart page, if as a client I try to estimate shipping & taxes in let's say french, and then I decide to change the language website to English, then shipping costs will remain in French. Is this a bug from Opencart? Or how can I adjust this and make sure all these elements are in the same language?
In the attached picture, at checkout page/tab, 3 different languages show up.
Many thanks!
Kind regards,
jsk

This subject seem to be expanding by multiple users regarding the language selection ... if you look at the language definition file in French, do you see the actual text in French or it is also in German?

Hi Straightlight,
Many thanks for your support, I appreciate it!
I have tried to follow your instructions, however this ended up damaging the language tab in the upper right corner of the website (as you can see in the picture). In addition, it did unfortunately not solve the problem.
FYI, I am using Opencart v2.0.0 and I do not have files with .twig extension but with .tpl instead. Furthermore, I did change the tpl file in the "default" template folder but in the template folder that my website is using.
Would you have any tips?
Cheers!

The provided screenshot is too small. I can barely see the right location that says [language_name] but that's about it. However, that is correct, the provided fix was for v3.x releases but can still be fixed for v2.x releases since this issue seem to be a long time trailed.

I have taken 2 other screenshots.
This is what shows up first:
And then when I click on the arrow to display the other languages I get this:
Otherwise, I would assume there might be some compatibility issues.

That is correct. That fix was meant for v3.x releases, not for v2.x releases as mentioned on the above. However, it can easily be adapted over the v2.x template files as it requires a bit a tweaking.
