I have had several orders and they all showed up under the dashboard until
today. I had one and the person paid with paypal. I didn't know there was
even an order until I logged into my paypal account. There was no notification
and it did not show up in the "total orders". The order had an order ID and all.
Then I checked under view recent activity under the dashboard and seen the order
and where the user had registered a new account.
Also under orders, I can not filter to find the order. The Order ID is 55 and if I put
that in the Order ID filter it will not pull that order. However, under the dashboard
and recent activity, if I click on the link that says John Doe added a new order (new order link)
it takes me to the order.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

It might be that PayPal sent its IPN request very late which changed the status of those orders.

It means there is an issue with PayPal. Sometimes it might be due to the security Mod of your server. I've seem this happen before, the user orders, proceeds to pay with PayPal, and when after PayPal process the payment, it should redirect to your site, however due to security Mod, it won't allow the redirection, hence the "Missing Order"
