Hi, When a new order is submitted we are not receiving new order notification emails if a product is not in stock (pre-order), the customer is receiving an email about his order, we are also receiving new order emails if the product is in stock. We have it setup so that a user can order regardless if an item is in stock or not as we have the pre-order as the default stock status if quantity = 0. We order our stock as of when a customer orders the product.

Any idea how to solve this? we are running OpenCart 2.0.0.0

It is possibly because of an extension you have installed, by default opencart doesnt have any stock condition for sending notifications.

First thing, you should never run a .0 version of a product. A lot of new features mean a lot of new bugs.

Is there some reason you can't upgrade to 2.3.0.2?

Have you looked under System > Settings > Mail and made sure your mail server settings are correct, and the proper boxes are checked off?
