Upgrading OC from 1.5 to 2.3 version

Hi friends,

I just have a short question about upgrading an Opencart store from 1.5x version to 2.3xx. Browsing the forum i couldn't find a
a reasonable "how to..". I have noticed that the files structure differ, so my questions are: how this upgrading process will affect the store (not DB, but the rest of the files)?
I have tried several methods/steps, all with errors and stuff. I'm into Java programming, so compiled programming, I have some ideas about interpreted programming languages like php, but it seems i couldn't get yet the point yet. So i need to know which files (config.php, /admin/config.php, startup.php etc) i have to look for modifying in order to have the store the same as in the old platform (1.5.5.1). I m not concernig about redirects and so.

In my opinion, the best way is to install latest OC 2 first and then simply upgrade the database. The rest should be easy for you as a programmer.
