No image product, category, subcategory - display parent

I'm looking for a way to display images from parent categories in subcategories and products. So, if a subcategory was without an image it would display the image from the parent, if that parent didn't have an image it would go to the next parent. Same with products if the product had no image it would get display the image from the category.

Haven't been able to find any extensions to solve this.

really needed this, should i do it ?

I had iSenselabs create the function for me. It works well. However, if you want to use other display systems for like refine search category thumbs, it won't work without some extra tweaking.

can i know its detail pls ?
