If it's an OcMod Extension, also adding some 'regular' files into the
system- admin- or catalog- sections, you would NOT have to change
anything in such 'additional' files.
And you could 'implant' the OcMod xxx.ocmod.xml File Content into the
Source, to USUALLY either 'add to' existing Code, or then 'replacing' some default
Code, with it's own modified or added code.

And you could 'implant' the VqMod File Content the same way into the
Source, to either 'add to' existing Code, or then 'replacing' some default
Code, with it's own modified or added code.
---
strictly technically, by nature of things! :D
The only problem would be, that an extension so no longer can just be switched on/off,
bei enabling/disabling the VqMod/OcMod Extensions.
---
And if you plan to do this, all included, you should remove OcMod and VqMod from the system
as well, it makes absolutely no sense, to have two active caching functions, if they are of no use...,
exept for using server power and memory

PS: AT present, I have about 80 such VqMod's, still waiting, to be part of the Source, so, you're not alone ;)
