today I just noticed a very weird problem.
Order number jumps in 10
for exmaple this number is 51, then next is 61, next is 71 , next is 81, and 91 , and then 101 and so on.
I google around, says client add item in cart but without checkout also increase order ID , well , i guess that's not really the case.
Because my site is not operational yet , no visitor but myself , even , someone is visiting and playing around , but it doesn't explain why always "10".
I have been making order randomly around a day , it always jump in 10.
I tried clear mysql table started with "oc_order" , all of them except "oc_order_status".
I also ran "ALTER TABLE oc_order AUTO_INCREMENT = 0;" or = 1 , but still same.
consider I setup with memcached , so I disabled and revert all the changes I made , still same.
any idea would be much appreciated..

I don't think so , like I said , if it's unfinished order , then how come every time it is a "10" , that's hell of coincidence.
I mean , for once , it jumps in 10 ? I understand , twice ? maybe , thrice? might be, 4 times in same order ? no way ...
and I don't even have real visitor to my site , as I said , it's not come online yet. so only myself is playing around.
over hundreds times I make order it always jumps on 10 ? I think I will buy a lottery for that.
I think something went wrong , but I just couldn't figure out ...

If you get missing order numbers there, then it should be missing order and nothing about concern with.

That's what I actually told 2 times already.opencartmart wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2017 11:51 pmYou can check yourself either those are missing orders or something else. Please navigate to order listing i.e admin -> sales -> Orders. Now filter with Order status "Missing"

1. I fully understand and comprehend this "incomplete order" thing. I get it , as matter of fact , I have seen it before , it jumps in fewer number like , like 1 ,3 , 4, 6, 8 , 11 and such , NEVER jump always in 10, from 101 , 111, 121,131,141,151.
2. I have NO visitor to my site , only myself , even through some random guy kicks in , it can NOT be always jump in 10.
3. I even checked mysql with phpmyadmin , look through table related with order , nothing in there, I mean , even it's incomplete , then surely database should have a record , right ?
I understand , if the number jump drops RANDOMLY , I take it as incomplete order , but it jumps in fixed number ,it ALWAYS jumps in 10, that does NOT look right.

like this ?
Code: Select all
ALTER TABLE oc_order AUTO_INCREMENT = 0;
I found a snapshot on day 27 , that day I changed domain so I made a backup in case something went wrong.
today I restored that backup , and then , overwrite the files and database of today.
it just start to work normally.
like screenshots , this is how it supposed to be.

would you please tell me how to do so ?
even though I managed , by lucky , fix it this time , but I can not dump and restore entire VPS every time I run into this problem ...
problem is in /etc/my.conf configuration file.
I was reading some optimization articles in internet and followed
I add a line
Code: Select all
auto-increment-increment=10
auto-increment-offset=1
I didn't know if you were on Linux. My client asked aws support to change it but they didn't so I advised him to go to another host, as aws was terribly slow as well, which solved it for him.

Wow, what terrible advice, I guess that could cause havoc with just about any installation out there!qtwrk wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2017 7:30 amI was reading some optimization articles in internet and followed
