I successfully setup multistore using a second domain. I tested it by adding a menu item to the second store only and it worked.
My problem is that even when logged in as an admin, the second store keeps giving me the maintenance mode screen. All I see is my store header and menu. I am only able to view the default store as an admin when in maintenance mode.
Any solutions on how to fix this? Thanks for any suggestions.
Of all the multi-stores in use, am I really the only one who has experienced this?
When logged in as the admin, the second store gives me the maintenance message. I can only see it if I take the default store off of maintenance mode. Is there a way around this?

any luck here?
i have same problem. My store is in maintenance mode and I can't browse or test it even when logged in as admin.
I can browse the default store while in maint. mode, but my other store will not allow it. Just says it's in maint mode.
