Hi all.

Im not a developer but im trying to sort this myself as the hosting support or my web designer cant sort it for me!

Basically ive had a new site made and changed hosting companies at the same time to get an ssl certificate including.

The new site was uploaded before they had added the ssl.
Then they added the ssl.
When going to my site url it was still going to the http version unless you typed https;// first.
ive set a 301 redirect to the https version of the site as instructed to do but i cant help but feel this isnt the proper way to do it?
How to I tell google its a https now to help with search?
Sorry if im being dumb or a noob with this but id like to learn how to do it properly myself?
I cant help but feel its ballsed up?

Thanks oh its spectaclesandglasses.co.uk
