When I put the store (OC/OpenCart 2.0.1.1) in "Maintenance Mode (MM)", the languages stop working: and the website/maintenance message are displayed in the last used language or default one.
Once OC is in MM, even in a new browser session (cleared cache, no cookies, etc.), it loads the store's default language and keep that one. Or, if a user is browsing the website and it's set to maintenance, it "freezes" the language. I suppose it's by design that maintenance mode stops all server request, for obvious reason, but thus, makes the language menu/button switch inactive too (I think).
I would prefer a single multilingual splash page instead of a half working website stuck in one language. O_o
Have anyone tried something like this? I'm not yet super familiar with OpenCart, but if pointed in the right direction I'm sure I could manage something (I can code, though I try not to as much as possible).
Thanks!
Sam
I noticed the same occurrence as well, currently using Opencart version 2.0.1.0.
I hope this will get answered. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is getting some commercial extension for resolving this but I was hoping for a answer before that.

Hi, it's simple:cyclops12 wrote:Not sure i understand exactly what you require on the maintenance page!
Could you be more specific then maybe someone will be able to help
Let's say I have webshop set up to be bilingual (English/German)
I set my webshop to "Maintainance mode".
Anyone who visits my webshop sees maintainance page with the maintainance message on one language.
However if they click the menu to switch to different language, the language will not switch. It will always stay on the language it was when they visited the page.
