New installation password does not work

Hi there.
I'm not sure if I post this in the correct folder.
I'm a new user, just installed opencart 3.0.0.0 and stated my username and password in stage 4 of the installation process.
After installation I deleted the "install" directory from the server and tried to sign into the admin panel.
Unfortunately it does not accepts my password. Thinking I had a bad memory I clicked the forget password button and received the link to create a new password. Now, the thing is... when I enter the new password twice, it accepts the new password and when I then try to sign in again it refuses the password.
I know I'm forgetful but not that bad.
I did a search on "password" in the forum, maybe in the wrong folder, but I didn't see anyone else with this problem.
Is there something I should have done differently?
