mapname /box/ in address line

I've have with OpenCart 1.5.6.1 and template Journal2 created a multi-store.
The four domain names are from a German provider and link through to a DNS server on our VPS hosting.
In on this server in the folder /box/ files open cart.
The main site is http://www.gxxxxxx.com, one of the other sites is http://www.axxxxx.com and refers as usual in a multi-store environment to the complete address in this case http://www.axxxxxx.com/box/
The third site is http://www.axxxxxx.de and which has the complete address http://www.axxxxxx.de/box/

If you type http://www.axxxxxx.com you come nicely into the desired shop visit. fine. HOWEVER, when click through to a product or category there will appear in the address bar http://www.axxxxxx.com/box/xxx, where xxx is the product or category. So with the full path name "/ box" between them.
How to prevent this happening?
