Do you have php support installed? What are the permissions for the opencart folder/directory?

Double check your folder permissions. Also try typing in the full path to the admin index.php. Can you see the front end of the cart after the install? Any errors during the install?

Hmm, that is a whole differend ballgame ;)

I'm not sure how php works on a Windows server, I know how IIS works.

How did you start the install, the same way you now try to access your webshop?

Did you set the directory rights on your webshops directory in ISS correctly?

It depends if he means with 'Computer' his PC or the Webserver ????
IF PC then NOT (only if he wants to operate the whole thing locally), if Webserver then YES.

If you really were able to get through the install procedure you must have all the requirements. You would have seen errors, for example when entering your database connection string if you did not have MySQL and so on. Best thing to do at this point is to delete your database and OpenCart directory and start again. Pay close attention to the install pages you see during install and report back here. I have a feeling you didn't make it to the end of the install.

Good luck!

Maybe something on my PC or the ports which I have no idea how to fix these
Any solution would be much appreciated

Could it be, that your MySQL DB is not running on the standard port (3306)?
Please check that (ask your Provider or call the php.ini).

It's a very easy process, I'm using Windows Server 2008 to host both Open Cart AND PrestaShop, PM me and I'll guide you through it...

Simple to put it is right click on the website within IIS, and choose permission, and add the user IIS_IUSERS if you are using IIS 7.5/7.0 Windows 7 and 200, or add the default IIS account under Windows 2003. ope this helps.

Now the second problem you're going to encounter is the product is not sowing in the main front store page, this is bcause the forward slash "/" and backward "slash" error, because both PrestaShop and Open Cart is design for Linux environment, and now Windows...
