setting free shipping for selected items

some of my products have a the free shipping available. i need to set selective free shipping to some items.
Which module would i need.
Otherwise it is showing the shipping by weight which automatically ads and "kill the business"
free shipping as option for customer select also not workable as obviously all would select free shipping
please advise a suitable way. thanks

If you need free shipping for some items, and weight-based shipping for others, you can do that with Category & Product-Based Shipping. You can set an example of that on this page, under "combining charges for different categories":
