Anyone doing a module for the new Google Pay? I know it's just launching today, but would love to see a module for it for both v2 and v3.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Google Pay is for merchants, not for store owners. It requires you to obtain a merchant ID from Google, which isn't easy at least due to this requirement:

"A supported payments gateway or a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant server environment suitable for storing decrypted payment information"

Creating such payment method isn't the problem, selling it is. Definitely shouldn't expect a high demand.

Professional OpenCart extensions, support and custom work.

Yes, I have a merchant ID from google - have had it for years before they changed and stopped taking payments from websites on their former google wallet. It appears they are coming back to doing that with plans to compete with apple pay and allowing you to use them again for website payments.

Here is some more info on their new version. https://www.google.com/payments/solutions/

They are supposed to be rolling out website payments in the next few months.

Stripe can take Google Pay payments, and my Stripe Payment Gateway Pro supports both Apple Pay and Google Pay.

My Braintree Payment Gateway Pro also supports Apple Pay, though they require an Apple Developer account to get it working. That's $99 per year, I believe.
