In product options there is no place to add a product number. I have products with different colors who have different product numbers. When someone clicks on select the image changes put not the product number. OC has a "Add Model to option" but it doesn't work in OC 2.2. Hope this clears up.
This doesn't clear up at all. What do you mean under "product number"? Why do you want it to add in option? How it is connected to product model, which you mentioned before?
For me it seems like you need to spend more time playing with OpenCart itself and learning it, because you can't even ask question properly and use non-existent terms.

OK, still no idea, what you're talking about, but:
a) there's no such thing as "model number" there's just "model" in OpenCart.
b) you don't add mode number to option, you do the opposite: add option to the product.
Please, spend some time learning OpenCart. Cheers.

Well, he's possibly looking for something like this, to place some
SKU/MPN/whatever Value to each individual Product Option, for OC v.2.2
and some unknown yet Theme:
