Checkout process - Human intervention

Hi,

I am new to Opencart
I would like to have a checkout process where it involves manual/human interaction, like:

1. The <<user>> adds products to the cart
2. The <<user>> go to checkout and add info as address etc
3. The <<user>> create the order
4. The <<store>> calculate shipping cost and add that to the order eventually also extra for packaging and save/notify the <<user>>
5. The <<user>> comes back to his/her order and choose payment options and pay
6. The <<store>> process the order

Is this easily possible with Opencart?
What modules should I use?

This is the standerd procedure of opencart?
The user wont even have to make a account if you have "guest checkout" enabled in your store settings.

I believe the OP does not know what the shipping / packaging cost is for their items (which seems strange) and so wants to charge for that at a later date.

Unfortunately OP there is simply no easy way of accomplishing what you want to do

You should get a list of weights or a shipping charge from your suppliers for all your items so that the whole process is automatically handled by OpenCart once you have set it up.

I doubt many people buying online want to have to come back halfway through an order while you figure out what to charge them for shipping

I suppose you could review the order before confirming it? Or you could use an Quotation style module , head to the Extensions store on Opencart website and there are few there.
