Current OC version: 2.3.0.2
I have been trying to add text after the Special Offers text as a description but for some reason it is not allowing me to add html code to the page: /catalog/view/theme/default/template/product/specials.tpl
I even looked at the view source and its not adding it after uploading the file.
I've had luck with version 1.5.6.4 but this version doesn't seem to work the same way.
The attached file is the coding I used for version 1.5.6.4 and version 2.3.0.2. Notice that the area I entered the text is the same on each one but will not work with version 2.3.0.2.
Any ideas how I can add text to version 2.3.0.2?
Did you try clearing your cache?
Your code should be working fine.
Perhaps try and go to Modifications and hit the refresh button.

Well, that worked.
I didn't realize just adding text and uploading it required clearing and refreshing thru the modifications.
I thought that was just for extensions.

Even I don’t understand it!
Even if you are not using OCMod extension this needs te be done sometimes.
I had many occasion I just went nuts and didn’t understand why my vqmod change didn’t work.
Simply refresh the Modification cache and it works
