You'd want to edit this file:

/catalog/view/theme/YOURTHEME/template/common/header.tpl

In the default theme, the lines you'd want to remove are these ones:

Code: Select all

<?php echo $currency; ?>

Code: Select all

<li><a href="<?php echo $contact; ?>"><i class="fa fa-phone"></i></a> <span class="hidden-xs hidden-sm hidden-md"><?php echo $telephone; ?></span></li>

Hey Johnathan

I had to do this for a client today for the first time and seemilngly it should be simple enough yeah? I deleted those bits of code but they still are showing on the front end. WTF? I am using a fresh unadulterated OpenCart v2.0.3.1 with absolutely no extensions at all. Any ideas? I have cleared cookies, cache, etc but still they show. confused . com :(

As a double check I temporarily renamed header.tpl as I was running out of ideas and patience and as expected that stopped the site from loading so I am definately working with the correct file.

Rob

I know my place...!

Not sure...maybe try refreshing the ocMod cache?

If deleting the pieces I mentioned doesn't work, try deleting small blocks of code one-by-one to see what they control. It's possible there is more than one piece of code in there that controls it, or some older code left in that doesn't do anything. I'd suspect some type of caching, though.
