About as close to match OC V-2 Viewing Experience, as one can get, and performance-wise, I got the same Performance Values as by use of a similarly installed OC-2 Shop version, by use of it's Default Theme.

This very lovely Theme not only comes as a very cheap OC2-like Theme Extension, it also keeps V.1.5.6.x-driven Shops up to latest User Demand, by offering full OC-2 Responsive Page View, and Handling, so enabling any kind of Smartphone, to use the Shop Site, as it would be possible with an OC V2 !

I have been testing it with one of my enhanced v.1.5.6.5_rc Shop version. It performes excellent, it's as fast as anyone of my enhanced Test-Shops, and by far the best-perfoming of all responsive free v.1.5.6.x Themes, I tested so far.

The only possible Draw-Back could be, that some existing OC v.1.5.6.x Modules do not longer display their Frames and shadows, due to the fact, that Modules are now CONTROLLED and STYLED in a responsive Way, in the new Theme, and therefore have to be 'rewitten', a little, to 'look' again, as they have displayed before.

Therefore, one should not expect, that everything will look just like ever before, on the Sideline, at least! But since it is relatively simple, to add a CSS-Style around something again, it won't be a problem, I just mention it, to avoid, anyone getting frustrated, to find out! It's still much easier and cheaper, than buy and install a Bag full of new Extensions, just to make a Shop look, and work again , as the old one did before...

Found more by accident, but this Summernote Extension could also be very usefull!

And here you find another little helper, when it comes to break some 'barriers',

Using this extension, you can associate a list of Attributes to a Category, i.E., for laptops, you would always enter "harddisk", "ram","screensize" e.t.c., as Default Value, sort of. With this Extension, you can save these attributes in a Category, and whenever a User/dataentry Worker add's a product of/to such a Category, instead of adding these attribute names, one by one, she/he can select the "Attribute Template", associated with the category, i.e laptops (by example), and just enter the spec's into the product form.

I found something usefull for many OC v.1.5.6 Users, select, what you need,
in your Customer Registration and Checkout Forms! It works well and without Problems
in my latest OC v.1.5.6.5_rc !

Custom Register Checkout show/hide + set required/unrequired Fields in Registration and Checkout:

One of the most visually impressive free Extensions of OpenCart, I ever found so far!
Should be in by default, in every OC !

I just had to shrink the Top/Bottom Margin Values a little, in the VqMod, to make is a little 'less' in overall height.

I created a VqMod, adding a User-Group TITLE to the Customer Account Welcome Section.
I finalized a User-Group LOGO VqMod for my OC v.2.2 as well.
Both VqMod's are inside of the free ZIP File, downloadable from the OC Extension Section.

To make this VqMod work, in your PHPMyAdmin, on your Opencart database,
you have to run a SQL query, listed in the read-me.txt file, and possibly change
oc_ to match your DB-Table PREFIX , if different.

No DB Query is required, to make this VqMod work!

One of the easiest and leanest FREE ways, to get rid of all Cached OC-2 Content, like cached Images,
cached VqMod Content and cached OcMod Content. An perfect way, to reset a system in full, after adding or
removing some VqMod- or OcMod- Extensions! And without doing any Harm to the Setup as well !

Just place inside of the OC Directory, and run it, it does not need OC to work! BUT better, name it differently,
so, not everybody will be able to play around with !

After USE, you may have to reset the ADMIN MODIFICATION System as well, to make Your OcMod's work again.
But I am not sure about this, I can just guess ...

OpenCart Repair and Cache Clear
A simple php file that will set files permissions to 0644 and folders permissions to 0755.
And it will delete the cache of the OpenCart c.2.x and the VQmod.

Just to remind you, that the famous latest Version exTplorer PHP File Editor works again with OpenCart
up to the latest PHP Versions!
It has been Part of MaxD's genious enhanced OpenShop 1.7 Admin Package, and I missed it badly, since it did not
longer function after some updated Server PHP-Versions. To me, it's comparable to my beloved Peter NORTON Legacy
WIN-COMMANDER, and there is no easier way to edit anything online within OC !

Well, I have not used the Extplorer Extension for some time, after
I run into some Problems with it on later PHP Versions. I then changed to
a much simpler russian Admin Editor Version, but that Mod would not be
working in later OC Versions anymore. Sorry about this...
