Hi Everyone,

I am trying to install some extension and was not able to do it.

Get the error as "PHP Warning: ftp_connect() has been disabled for security reasons".

I am new to installing opencart and its extension, was not sure what needs to be done.

I have given the FTP details in the setup, but i still get this help.

Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like you need to talk with your hosting company about it.

You can also Check your php.ini file

It's an easy fix with this mod bypassing the need for ftp:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=18892

Attn: I no longer provide OpenCart extensions, nor future support - this includes forum posts.
Reason: OpenCart version 3+ ;D

Thanks!

Help, I'm new to opencart, install 2.3.0.2 on a win apache server. install with no problems, all working well. Try to add any extension file xml using the Extension Installer, just get 'Invalid file type!'

The OC-2 Installer only installs OcMod's but no VqMods!

you just need Google, they offer free assistance, just repeat your question on VqMod, by clicking the link below: :D
https://www.google.com/search?q=How+do+ ... +do+i+need

and the same applies for OcMod:

Good Luck ;)

Big thank you for pointing me in the right direction, Ernie

I have also tried Easy VQMOD Installer with the using the Extension Installer, just get 'Invalid file type!'

Have now installed vqmod (vqmod-2.6.1-opencart.zip)
using the http://[yourwebsite.com]/vqmod/install method

place 'Live_Price_Options_Pro_OC2_V3.xml' file in the vQmod/xml folder
Developer flanders: there was no instructions how to enabling this

any ideas

hard to guess, I assume, you have this one:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=11891
you could contact the Mod-Creator, if it does not work. There is nothing else to activate, usually at least,
if an Extension only consists out of a single VqMod File. But since I don't know this paid Extension,
I am unable to tell.

But if it is, it should function with the OC v.2.3.x DEFAULT Theme, if you uploaded it correctly into the
vqmod/xml/... Folder. You could check on such, possibly, you have an error log file in your
vqmod/logs/... Directory, there, you could see, where it eventually failed, to do it's job,
if you don't use a VqMod-Manager, to find out on such. And you also better check the
system/storage/logs/... Directory for possible error messages as well.
Possibly, this Extension may COLLIDE with another Extension, you have installed already,
but since you did not supply any usable Information, or Link, so far,
it's all just wild guessing in the dark ...

Good Luck ;)
