Changing admin password

I would like to change my admin password in v1.5 and would appreciate confirmation of how to do so.
I am sure this must have been asked before but I suspect the answer already exists deep within - with 353 search results I admit I did not go through every one! I did find an answer for v2 which said to just delete the password in the database but that's a huge step to make without being sure that solution will work! If that is the way to go, some guidance as to which table it is in would be useful, too.
