As above, your web host should install the actual certificate but there are some things you need to do to configure OpenCart.

We tend to recommend that merchants use HTTPS across all pages, so we usually change all links in the 2 config.php files to include HTTPS.

The other thing you have to do is make sure any third party assets or widgets like fonts, css, javascript libraries etc. also use HTTPS. If you don't do that, you won't get the green padlock and some users will get a warning.

Most third party assets have HTTPS versions, but if not then you have to see if it's possible to download the asset and host it on your server, or use a service that converts it to HTTPS, or just use something else.

Hope that helps!

Here a guide for Cpanel en DirectAdmin
I selling and installing them also. ;D

Generating a CSR using WHM/CPanel

Generate an SSL certificate
You can generate an SSL certificate, consisting of an RSA private key and certificate, for any domain using WebHost Manager. This will allow viewers of an SSL site to verify the identity of the web site by its public key.

To generate an SSL certificate:
Click on the Generate an SSL certificate and Signing Request link in the SSL/TLS menu. Enter the email address to send the certificate to in the 'Email Address the Cert will be sent to field'. Enter the domain name that the domain is being created for in the 'Host to make cert for field'. Enter the administration details of the certificate in the Country, State, City, Company Name, Company Division, and Email fields. Enter the password for the certificate in the Password field.

Generating a CSR using DirectAdmin

2. Modify the 'Access Level' from 'Admin Level' to 'User Level', by clicking in the Access Level menu on the right on User Level .
Click underneath Advanced Features on SSL Certificates.

3. Select the option 'Create a Certificate Request' and enter all requested information, when you are done click Save.
Where common name is you place http://www.domain.com or for wildcard certificate use *.domain.com (NO www.)

4. Select and copy the Information you see in the text box (just the Certificate Request part).
It is important that you make a backup of the Request part and the Private Key!

With that code you can order you'r certificate.

Install an SSL certificate using WHM/CPanel

Once you have received the SSL certificates you can install the certificate using Webhost Manager. You need both the certificate and key files to install the certificate.
Click on the 'Install an SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain' link in the SSL/TLS menu.
Enter the domain, user name, and IP address for the certificate in the 'Domain', 'User', and 'IP Address' fields.
Click on the 'Fetch' button to pull the .key and .crt files for the domain into the available display spaces, if they are currently on your server. Otherwise, copy and paste the .key and .crt files into the available display areas.
Open the certificateCA.crt in a text editor. Paste the text from the certificateCA.crt (sometimes referred to as a bundle) into the bottom display area.
Click on the 'Do it' button.

majority of shared hosts support the "Let's Encrypt" this way the users can benefit from free SSL certificates and use it without any issues of installation of SSL, as process is automated.
