Hi there,

I am here to ask if OpenCart is vulnerable to hack attacks? If yes, then what is the best way to easily apply security measure to an OpenCart store?

I would appreciate every single response :)

Thank You!

If there would be a simple way, to make a Software hacker-proof, Microsoft would have it solved already, with it's WIndows Editions, Years ago. And it's not the Software, by itself, it's the installation, as well as the Server software, itself, mostly adding to insecurity. More, If Car's would be built, like some OC Installations are made, by some Users, it would be rather insecure, as well, to drive Cars on Highways.

Ernie is right in that you cannot 100% guard against hackers, especially if you are on a shared server.

However, security issues have been addressed before so do a search. Some simple things include renaming your admin directory as hackers always look for ones named "admin", change permissions on vital files to keep them from being written to, etc.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
