As of 1.08.2012 all the new orders stopped showing up in our dashboard. (we had 3 sales on the 7th, 4 sales on the 8th)

But no changes at all have been made to the admin section or theme. I have tried placing a dummy order and checks out through paypal without any problems. Paypal is the reason why i know others have made purchases but they are not showing up at all.

Any ideas? suggestions? or similar reports?

I just wanted to quickly add that i'm getting a notification from paypal on our sales@ account. However, the email adress that placed the order does not receive the automated notification from OC neither does store owner email addess.

So the only way i know people have tried is because paypal processed their payment. But OC is not putting it through or listing it on the dashboard

thank you in advance...

sorry to add yet another confirmation. But i'm trying everything possible. After i place the order and it redirects me back to the website from paypal to say the order has been processed. I went to "my account > order history" and it's not listing there either.

Thank you.

Hi i2Paq,

i See them, when i filtered for "abandoned orders" they all showed up for the past 5 days including the test one i did yesterday. So what does this mean and how can i fix it.

Thank you very much!...

This is because the order-status did NOT get updated when the payment was done.

In most cases it is a human error made by the customer as they did not return to you store after a successful payment.

Thanks again for your reply...

But the weird part is i did a dummy order to test it myself and i made sure not to miss a single step including returning to the website when i was finished. yet that order was in abandon as well, but all these "abandon" orders are still getting charged.

it's a big problem if my customers are getting charged by paypal and receive nothing because i'm not being notified of their order.

On the test order i made, i made sure to complete every step of the order and when i returned to the website from paypal it said thank you for completing my order and that i could go to account > check orders to view the status of the order. And when i did nothing was there.

Not a single sale has come in since January 8th. Everything since that day has landed in the "abandoned orders"... It has to be something more than just people not going back to the website after paypal.

Can you set any status in the payment module itself?

on paypal pro i have it set to: "Order status: Processed"
and on paypal standard there's a ton of different statuses, but they are all assigned to something.

Processed, refunded, pending, failed and so on....

Have you searched our forums on issues with the 1.5.3.x PayPal Pro module?

I'm brand new to the forums so i don't really know where to start. Figured i would ask to see if anyone had the same problem recently, since the website was working perfectly for about 1month since we started up until this past weekend. And since nothing had changed in our backend, i didn't even know where to begin. :/

seems like a lot of others are experiencing the same problem. Check out this thread. Any thoughts?

i've been doing more digging and found this. The paypal pro module is fine and works. it's the paypal standard that is not working.

so what is going on with the PDT token or auto return settings. Especially if i'm using multistores?

i went to this page: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?&cmd ... tatransfer

and made sure to set it up all properly.

Correct. I already reported the OSCommerce PayPal standard edition on one of my recent topics which wasn't seem to be corrected so far unfortunately. However, it is always possible to find an extension module which could probably replace the core's module for Paypal Standard but this solution would rather be a paid solution for correcting erroneous rather than released as a new feature. :/

I'm running 1.4.9.2 and have no issues with the default PayPal Standard module.
Can't you use that-one?

Hi all,

I had this problem and found it was a dependency issue - see my post here:
