It does in a good way. You can analise Google Web masters > Labs and it'll show the fact that's decreasing the load time.

Before using page speed i used to get 51/100,
and after using the score has gone upto 95/100,. also the site is lightning fast.
My webhost is providing this mod in cpanel, so i just enabled it from cpanel and wow...

Pagespeed messes with the AJAX of the cart pages, giving issues with Access-Control-Allow-Origin.
