I use Piwik on all my major sites.
It is a great tool, very useful and quite easy to install on a sub-domain of your main site.
It doesn't replace Google Analytics, but it is easier to access and, with the proper Geo-location database installed, gives plenty of information on your traffic.
I love it!

I do also.
But the main difference to GA is, that all the data is yours!
And nobody else but you have access to.
In some European Countries for many official departments it is forbidden to use GA, instead Piwik is allowed.

Because they do not allow to store/share data with Third Party - here especially Google and becauce of the US-Law.

I did try it, but seems to work very slow. And google analytics do the same work. So I deleted.
It is finally your decision with whom you share your results (GA) - or not (Piwik).lz1nud wrote:I did try it, but seems to work very slow. And google analytics do the same work. So I deleted.
And if it is slowly, you did something wrong.
