Do you need to charge local city or county taxes, but don't want to rework the geo zone and tax system to get it working? If your local taxes can be based on postcode, here's an example of how to use Shipping-Based Fee/Discount to quickly set up postcode-based taxes on both products and shipping:

- For a zip code of 92100, it would charge 9% on both the sub-total and shipping cost, so the list of Order Total line items would look like this:
- Sub-Total: $30.00
- Shipping Charges: $10.00
- Tax: $3.60
- Total: $43.60
- To list the charges on sub-total and shipping cost separately, just give the rates different Sort Orders.
- If you need a general state or national tax, you can apply tax classes to the products and shipping cost to account for those. The tax charge will be listed as its own line item under the "Taxes" Order Total.
