I am new to opencart and am evaluating it. This is what I need:

Ability to get price from ERP based on customer number and product.
Ability to get qty available from ERP.

I have all the API's required to get this information.

Could this be programmed easily?

Thank you.

hi there

I have successfully done exactly this. In my situation I had to each authenticated customer was associated with an ERP account, with each account having specific pricing rules per product. The ERP system in this case was a legacy ERP system called Kerridge.

The ERP system in this case exposed a SOAP interface which allowed me:
a) get pricing information
b) place orders
c) provide self-service functions such as downloading pdf invoices etc etc.

The design philosophy here is that the website is merely a front-end to the ERP system, with the ERP system being the master in question.

IF you need to know more let me know and I will elaborate more on this.

It depends on the level of integration that you would be needing.
for e.g would you be entering the product details in both erp as well as opencart or do you want one to update the other automatically etc ...
