Amazon S3
The Amazon S3 Integration module allows you to utilise the content delivery service from Amazon S3. This is essential for international websites as it will reduce your server load & bandwidth and increase the speed your clients see your website in other parts of the world.
Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) has networks that hold your digital assets all around the world. When a user visits your website they get the images and product downloads from the nearest network to them, saving transfer time!
Utilising a CDN service will also decrease the amount of bandwidth your server has to cope with. During high traffic seasons like Christmas many servers cannot cope with the increase in demand and run extremely slowly (We're sure everyone has seen a website do this!). CDN storage uses extremely large connections, so slowly loading assets are no longer an issue.
