Help me to clone a payment module

Hi all
Is there any advanced tutorial for cloning a payment module that takes consumer to an other website?
i tried to use paypal standart but can someone help me with:
1- in which file paypal write the data he needs and from where he get them?
2- which file send data to paypal server and which one collect results?
3- in opencart which file reads this results and shows payment status (paid, pending, canceled...)?
