I have been trying to create a duplicate of the 'Simple HTML' Module.

- Renamed all MyModule files to MyModule2
- Global replace MyModule to MyModule2 in all files
- Check Access and Modify permissions in User Groups (definitely both set).

The new module is listed correctly; the admin page shows correctly but when I try to 'Save', I get the Pemission Denied - You do not have permission to access this page.

Any ideas?

Yes, the Access/Modify permissions are correct. I tried setting ignore tokens which didn't have any effect.

Error is:
You do not have permission to access this page
from controller/error/permission.php

As opposed to:
Warning: You do not have permission to modify module
from controller/module/mymodule2.php

The token has the correct value.

I still haven't solved it.

I have repeated the exercise and followed all of the guide-lines but I am really stuck.

Has anyone succeeded?

Thanks Maansy, I don't believe it but your files work fine. ???

Other than renaming the files and globally replacing the module_name in all of them, what else could there be?!

Grrrrrr!

only that, i didnt do anything more. i guess i fill into the mistake of renaming (i almost did)
open and compare my files with yours with Notepad++ (its a great php editor/comparing) and you will be able to see the mistake you did
glad its working now :)
its a great add-on BTW

Hi mystifier, if you already read the guidelines then I guess maybe theres something little missing (maybe just mistype). Maansy is right, it is better to use editor that can compare two or more files so you know the differences.

p.s. here's the link to my post about Simple HTML Module if anyone else need it

Before you judge a book by its cover, you've got to flip through the pages

Yes, I sorted it in the end (a single stray character in the files I was copying from).

I now have MyModules I,II and III - it's the only module anyone needs really. ;)
