Blank / empty places in Featured product list

Hi Folks,

I hope you have an idea what's happening here ..
On the frontpage we're showing featured products, but Suddenly there are some blank places:

When I check with firebug, there are no 'divs' at the blank spots (?).
I also tried to find the content in the database, but couldn't find it anywhere.
