Net price = Price of product
Gross price = Net price + VAT

At the moment, when creating/editing a product, I have to provide the net price. On shop front, OC calculates the applicable tax and shows the gross price (and the net price below it).

However, in many European countries, when shop owners price items, we price them from a customer perspective, creating a nice round price, e.g. 120 Ft...i.e. customer has to pay 120 Ft i.e. 120 Ft is the gross price.

At the moment, to do this, I have to input into OpenCart, a net price of 94.48818897637795 Ft.

It would be nice if instead of this, I could input the gross price as 120 Ft and then OC could calculate down the net price to show on shop front, order, invoice etc.

I realize that there are probably a lot of people who follow cost-plus pricing and would therefore want to continue with current system.

So, I propose (request) a feature whereby in Settings shop owner can specify whether the prices input by him for the products are gross or net.

Hi,

We've got it.
We have developed this for our store, but as you know, you only will get nice rounded price in your currency, because after conversion...

We only have to port to an extension so I will let you know.
Regards

there is a vqmod that does this, but you need to manually change the tax % in the vqmod file to suit.

Currently i think its being updated to use the tax class, but it does what u want anyway.

Just search for it in extensions.

You can not possibly expect to get a rounded price for every currency unless the exchange rate between them are set in such a way.

Its just not possible.

By the way, is anybody interested in setup rounded price for every currency?
Because we found that it's possible to make a mod that let you set different prices per currency, may be a time waste, but we can make an extension if there is interest.
