However, completing the translation at https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations is important because:
1. It's a central place for translations of all languages.
2. It's not dependent on one person's effort. The whole community can contribute.
If you'd like to keep the Portuguese/Brazilian translation in the marketplace, that's fine. I understand that many people look for translations there. However, it would be better if you make the translations at https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations (instead of your local computer), and then you can always download the Portuguese/Brazilian zip file and upload to the marketplace.
If this makes sense, I am happy to make you the approver for Portuguese/Brazilian so that the community can contribute and you can manage quality-control.
By the way, at https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations translations do not have to be input one string at a time (though you can do that if you want) - you can upload whole translated files.
Also, please note, that only Portuguese needs to be translated completely. For Brazilian Portuguese, only those strings should be translated which are different (or use different spellings of words) from Portuguese. The system will copy over Portuguese for "untranslated" Brazilian strings when downloading the translation.

1. I am not necessarily claiming that it's better to download from https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations But doing the translation work there is better for the aforementioned 2 reasons (repeating below):straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 12:49 amhow better can it be for the people to download from other locations based on translations at this point?
1.1 Translations are not dependent on a single individual or entity. The community can participate.
1.2 There's a central, online, open repository of the translations.
So, even if translations are downloaded (by translation author) and uploaded to Marketplace, https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations is still a better place to DO the translations.
2. That said, there are a few reasons why (for end users) downloading from https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations is better compared to downloading from Marketplace:
2.1 In Marketplace, there's no way to know the quality before downloading. https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations is open and online, so one can quickly check quality.
2.2 Sometimes an end-user will find a problem with translation, and fix it. Unfortunately, the community does not benefit from the fix if the fix is made to a translation downloaded from Marketplace...only that specific end-user benefits. But if the fix is made at https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations everyone benefits.
2.3 Not all languages are available for the latest version of OpenCart in the Marketplace. There is no indication of how complete each available one is. At https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations people can see which languages are complete, which are incomplete, and which are totally untranslated. So they can download the incomplete translations if they want to (or better still, help complete it)
2.4 For some languages, there are multiple translations available on Marketplace. Plus, the Marketplace has its odd search mechanism. How do you choose? At https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations things are simple, with one translation per language.
Not sure what you mean. You can look at https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations to see how complete each language's translation is.straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 12:49 amFor each updated packages based on the updated date, are you able to determine for each packages which ones are more updated than the others in general?
If you are referring to the synchronization with OpenCart versions, https://crowdin.com/project/opencart-3x-translations is for the latest version OpenCart 3.0.2.0 as mentioned in the project description.
