Stock/cash register

Postby kabe » Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:27 pm

We have an online store 1.5.1.3 and have a small shop and go to fair. We notice now that we had our shop in a few months how difficult it is to manually remove the stock from the webshop where customers shop. We have no own stock to the web shop and when we are going on fair in the summer, we need to pull out what we sell out of stocks quickly.

Does anyone know if there's any cash register you can connect with an open cart? Would it be possible to include an extension that can be used in the admin to cash? Where you choose a product, number and could possibly add to its own line of products not available in the webshop. Even so as to print a receipt to the customer.

I do not know how it would look like, the most important thing is that you do not have to go into every product and change the quantity after each item we sell.

Are grateful for any tips on how to solve it!

Are you talking about a POS system? Point-Of-Sale .

The answer is yes you can hook that up but would take some developing in a major way.

There is no real help for that at this forum to be honest. POS is very expensive and needs advanced coding to integrate with a server. Here is a popular provider: http://www.phppointofsale.com/
