Hi guys,

I am playing with open cart for few days, creating my own theme etc and I ran to one pretty serious problem. I am not able to find any "enable/disable settings". For example if I dont want "Comparing products" or "Wishlist + adding to wishilist" features on my eshop I have to delete links from theme, but it is not practical because when I decide to allow Comparing products or Withlist, I have to put back all links to my theme.

In Admin panel - System - Settings - Options there is "Display Weight on Cart Page: Yes/No", this is what I am talking about but for most of the features

Do you plan to create simmilar options to disable features and make them optional via Admin panel? It would be a lot of work but not difficult.

These are not default options available, and I don''t think they will be getting added all that soon. As long as you keep the code base for those areas similar there are VQMODs available in the extensions area that make this type of behavior possible within Open Cart

Does it mean I should edit Template with vQMod too ? Thats not really good solution and everything what needs to do is to add several values to db config table and just conditions to php code. Each software has its config area for disabling features

It would be nice to be able to switch the comparing and wishlist on and off, so it would get my vote for inclusion in 1.6.

For now you could set conditional php code around the links and then when you want to use the links set variable in the controller php file to make the template display the links.
