How to Place Products in Specific Order - so Primary Products Appear First?

We have many products loaded into our Open Cart database, and they are organized by Category.
Is it possible to place products in a custom order, so that specific products appear on the first page for each category?
Please advise where to find this functionality, or how to add it.

Yes, by using the sort order value for each assigned products.
