Today I saw that when you click in the footer on the link for "returns" (= page https://demo.opencart.com/index.php?rou ... return/add) is accessable for everybody and thus open for spam. Why don't they disable the form as long as you're not logged in?

I believe the reasoning behind that is to allow "guest customers" to return products. There's a way to manually change that:
