Try to create a new category from a template I bought, It was impossible to create it. Finally after time we figured out that the category was not showing up because the tempalte was in 3 different Languages and to be seen there hat to be filled out all 3 Languages. BUT, neither an error showed up to point out the problem, nor the category was created. Other CMS I work on dont have this issue, if you fill out the default lang everything is fine. SUGGESTION ... fix this in the new version and either show an error message or let the category be created in the default lang which is the normal case !
